Data recovery for Orlando businesses — when the backup wasn't there
Failed hard drive, dead SSD, crashed RAID or NAS, wet or dropped device — Harmony MSP handles the diagnosis, the logistics, and the restore, backed by a certified recovery lab with 40+ years and 200,000+ successful recoveries. Free evaluation. No data, no charge.
How data recovery works
Call & triage
Tell us what happened. We determine whether it's a logical problem we can fix ourselves or physical damage that needs the lab — and tell you what not to touch in the meantime.
Free evaluation & firm quote
We pull the drive, ship it free overnight to a certified recovery lab, and the engineers evaluate it at no cost. You get a firm price before any recovery work begins.
Lab recovery
Engineers repair or replace failed components inside an ISO Class 5 cleanroom, image the media, and rebuild your files — original folder structure intact in most cases.
Restore & protect
Your data comes back on a new drive. We load it where it belongs, then set up tested backups through managed IT & security so this never happens again.
What's behind every data recovery engagement
40+ years, 200,000+ recoveries
Our lab partner has recovered data since 1985 from more than 200,000 devices — deleted, mechanically failed, burnt, wet, and crushed — with the highest success rate in the industry.
ISO Class 5 cleanroom
Every drive is opened in a certified cleanroom, never on a bench. A single speck of dust can ruin an otherwise recoverable drive.
No data, no charge
The evaluation is free, the overnight shipping is free, and if the data can't be recovered you pay nothing and the device comes back at no cost.
SOC 2 Type II & HIPAA compliant
The recovery lab is SOC 2 Type II audited and HIPAA compliant — which matters when the drive holds patient records, case files, or client tax returns.
Warranty stays intact
All leading drive manufacturers authorize the lab to open sealed devices without voiding the warranty, so you can still get an in-warranty replacement afterward.
Every kind of storage
HDD, SSD, helium drives, external drives, RAID, NAS and SAN arrays, virtual machines, phones and tablets, USB and SD cards, tape — Mac or Windows, encrypted or not.
Transparent pricing — quoted before any work begins
Data recovery cost depends on the device, the type of failure, and how fast you need it back. That's why the evaluation is free: once the lab knows exactly what it's dealing with, you get a firm price — and nothing is charged until the recovery is complete. Pick the turnaround that matches how badly you need the data.
Recovery starts the moment it arrives
Engineers work 24/7, 365 days a year — evenings, weekends, and holidays — until your data is back. For when the business is down and every hour counts.
1–2 business days
The fastest standard turnaround in the industry. Completed during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. The right fit for most business recoveries.
10–14 business days
The lowest-cost option for data you need back but not this week — archives, old projects, a former employee's files.
Data recovery FAQs
Can my data actually be recovered?
Almost always, yes — as long as nobody has made it worse first. The recovery lab we work with has pulled data from more than 200,000 devices since 1985, including drives that were dropped, flooded, burned, and crushed. Never assume it's gone. The single biggest factor in a successful recovery is what happens in the first few hours: power it off, don't run software, and call.
What's the difference between data recovery and restoring from backup?
If you have a working, tested backup, you don't need data recovery — we just restore it, usually the same day. Data recovery is for when there's no backup, the backup failed, or the backup was on the same device that died. It's the last resort, and it's why every recovery engagement ends with us putting a real backup in place.
How long does data recovery take?
It depends on the service level you choose. Standard service is completed in 1–2 business days — the fastest standard turnaround in the industry. Priority service begins the moment the drive arrives and runs around the clock, including weekends and holidays. Economy service takes 10–14 business days. Add a day for overnight shipping each way; we handle the packaging and labels.
How much does data recovery cost?
There's no honest flat rate — a deleted file on a healthy SSD and a flood-damaged RAID array are very different jobs. What we can promise: the evaluation is free, you get a firm quote before any work starts, payment isn't collected until the recovery is done, and if the data can't be recovered there's no charge at all.
Is my data secure during recovery?
Yes. The lab is SOC 2 Type II audited and HIPAA compliant, and every recovery is performed under those controls. For medical and dental practices, law firms, and CPA firms, that means a failed drive full of protected records can be recovered without creating a compliance problem. Chain of custody is documented from the moment we pick up the drive.
Will recovery void my drive's warranty?
No. All leading storage manufacturers authorize the lab to open sealed drive mechanisms without voiding the original warranty. In most cases you can still get an in-warranty replacement from the manufacturer after your data is recovered.
Can you recover data without shipping the drive?
Sometimes. For logical failures — deleted files, corrupted partitions, failed RAID rebuilds — with no physical damage, we can often recover on-site or through secure remote recovery. That's also the path for servers too large to ship or data that has to stay on premises. Anything mechanical (clicking, not spinning, physical damage) needs the cleanroom.
Do you only serve Orlando?
Our on-site pickup and support covers Orlando and all of Central Florida — Lake Mary, Sanford, Winter Park, Kissimmee, Altamonte Springs, Lake Nona, and surrounding areas. Remote recovery and shipped-in recovery are available anywhere.
